Hmm Interesting that no one ever posted here. I am trying to improve my Japanese by playing some games as it worked great for me and English. Has anyone done it here? Would anyone have any recommendation?
Well, Mii, I don't play games and taught myself Japanese using the Genki textbooks, so I can't myself help you.
And I did ask the veteran translators of the team, and though both play games in Japanese, both recommend just plain reading as the way forward. Momimomi-senpai did say he can recommend virtual novels to you if you tell him the genres you like.
Well, I think that would really help if you like them. I think I never found one that I would be eager to read through/ try to translate. Thanks for the tip, tough.
Well, I was trying that, but I was taking such a long time that I decided to take a long detour through Kanjis... I need to try the test again sometime.
Bah! Wraith didn't even post the link I gave to him. Regarding "what" are visual novels, a picture is worth a thousand words: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwO59VS7eZ8 Since you don't know kanji well, you can read VNs with a parser. Google: ITH, VNR, Chiitrans.
