Note: Since Gimp unfortunately doesn't fully support PS's text tool, all of the text layers was converted into raster image layers when I exported back to the .psd files. I have also included the .xcf files (Gimp 2.10 save files) of which I used to take the test.

Hello,

I'd like to first apologising for not writing you an assessment or any sort of reply for the TS test in the whole two months since you posted it.

I have no excuses. The likely reason for the lack of a reply is that we weren't and aren't recruiting for typesetters and so I somehow shelved your application at the back of mind.

In any case, I'm afraid we cannot accept applications made using GIMP. As you say, its text layers are rasterised. We can accept GIMP cleaners or even redrawers, if they redraw prior to typesetting, but all our TSers and QCers use PS and so we can't accept GIMP PSDs.

We might emend the test and recruitment to inform applicants of that. Sorry for the time and effort you put on this.

We'll do our best to give you timely feedback on your CL test.
