Hello, ancientharvery, thanks for applying.

Here's your triage assessment.

Page 3: this was your finest effort and is actually well done. Good job with levelling and adding a round of Smart Sharpen.
Page 4: you have some talent for redrawing. (If you want to take our redrawing test, here's the easy version: https://bit.ly/2L8qeBt .) Cropping was problematic. To avoid dusting, you filtered/levelled too much.
Page 5: too much downscaling, high-resolution raws should be cleaned at 2400 px final height. Not converted to greyscale. Hardly dusted.
Page 6: too much downscaling as well. Overlevelled, to the point screentones were heavily affected. Smudges at the edges. Ad at the right not removed. Improperly dusted.
Page 7: not downscaled. Improperly dusted. Smudges at the edges.
Page 8: how on Earth did you get rid of the sky screentones?
Ouro pages: you failed to realise they're halves of a double page. To assess your work on them, I need to see how well you aligned the middle edges.

So unfortunately, you need to hone your skills more before passing. Should you wish to do so, you can find useful guides for cleaning at https://quicksandscans.wordpress.com/re ... tingguides (Delux's and Sarrymast's are the better ones.)

We'll be glad to reassess future applications if you show progress from one to the next. At this point, you're at triage. If you pass by my assessment, you'll get a more detailed one from our Head Cleaner (or a pass if he finds no issues).

Cheers!
