Re: Cleaner Apliccation

So, Angolx… you may want to put some more effort into mastering cleaning skills, especially Levelling, before re-applying. The pages are very overlevelled. You forced your hand on blacks so much that we lost details of the art. It was worse on the Sprite and Destroy and Revolution pages (02, 04 and ...

Re: Cleaner Apliccation

Hmmm... I don't know whether you made a mistake saving the file, but we only found PNGs there. We specifically need PSDs to be able to assess your work layer by layer. There's also the fact that you only posted cleans of the Sprite pages. It would be preferable that you cleaned all of the pages in t...

Re: Cleaner Apliccation

Hi, Angolx, thanks for your application. Here's the assessment by the Sprite team leader, Momimomi- senpai . "I checked only the Sprite page because it's the only one saved as psd. The final result is unsatisfactory... but! He applied Leveling twice. If I remove the second leveling layer, the r...

Re: Cry eye

I haven't read it, but I hear that the translation is very idiomatic and extremely hard. I for one couldn't do it, probably. Royal and Momimomi-senpai are probably the only ones who could, but I don't know that they are interested.

Re: Sprite Re-drawer/Cleaner application.

No problem, no offence taken. You know, I am a reader as well as a scanlator so I can see your point of view. However, and since this may be read by other people who object to our standards, lemme tell you something I learned by scanlating. (And by the standards of DT, I am still a noob!) For many, ...

Re: Sprite Re-drawer/Cleaner application.

Hi, Dion, thanks for the interest in Sprite . here are our cleaners' comments: i. You didn't overfilter or overlevel. Congratulations! ii. However, you didn't Dust (Dodge and Burn). iii. You took the editor's test, but for Sprite we only need a cleaner. The cleaner test is here: http://deathtollscan...

Re: Read this before choosing a test, please!

Myrwynn wrote:Quick question, why does the link to the redrawing test lead to the editor test ? Is it a mistake or is it supposed to be the same test?

So that's why people were doing the editor's test instead...

Thanks, Myrwynn, the mistake has been corrected!

My apologies to all past applicants!

Read this before choosing a test, please!

I can't believe I am writing this... Well, some very strange things have happened with applications. For some reason, a few among you seem to have been working under the assumption that the Editor's test is the most comprehensive one or the test of choice if you want to pick up just any job we are r...

Re: [Redrawer] / [Typsetter] / [Editor] / [Cleaner] Application

Thank you, HakateBK, for your interest. Unfortunately, you don't pass this time. Briefly, your pages are saved as JPEGs - it ought to have been PSDs - and they are overfiltered. Besides, you took the editor's test but only did the cleaning, so we cannot assess your typesetting. If you just want to c...
